About Sherfield Park

Sherfield Park is a new development of approx 1000 homes. Building started in 2004 by Croudace Homes Ltd and in 2010, David Wilson Homes have begun building a range of homes totalling 58. The whole development is due for completion in 2013.

Sherfield Park has won numerous awards including New Home Gardens House Builder of the Year 2008

The new community web site is an important step in our plans to develop and support the community and make Sherfield Park a great place to live. We eagerly await the completion of the Community Centre which we hope will be opened for early 2011. In the meantime we will be providing you with regular updates, notes of committee meetings and interesting features about what is happening out and about on the development. We are also looking forward to hearing your ideas on the sorts of activities you would like to see available in the Community Centre together with your views on just about anything affecting your life on Sherfield Park.

As we finally move towards having a Community Centre it is interesting to look back to the beginnings of the Community Association. It all started back in 2005 with the formation of a Steering Group comprising representatives from Chineham and Sherfield on Loddon Parish councils, Croudace Homes and residents. This group met during 2006 to complete the task of creating a Community Association. At a public meeting held on Saturday 30 September 2006 the Sherfield Park Community Association was formed, a committee of residents was elected and the association’s constitution adopted. Over the next 3 years, in spite of many distractions, disappointments and delays, the committee has continued to press and lobby for the completion of our Community Centre.  

As we move into the new year the exciting challenge that faces us now is to begin to put in place the organisation and administration needed to operate our new Community Centre and with your help we know we can succeed.

Sherfield Park falls into the parish of Sherfield on Loddon and the ward of Chineham. Situated in north Hampshire, the local village is a short walk away with a general store, post office, village hall and a number of pubs. Sherfield Park has excellent transport links to Reading, London and Southampton as well as local golf courses, professional football and rugby in nearby Reading, excellent shopping and entertainment in nearby Basingstoke,Sherfield Park is an ideal location to set up home for you and your family.
